ASCOLTAREONONVEDERE is an art project created by Juliette Mock & Simona Di Giovanni during a cultural exchange between France and Italy at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence. The project was designed for all those people whom are used to walk through the crowded streets of Florence. After we decided to use such a great pictorial material as crap is, we have been thinking a lot about the concept of the crap itself, offering the most miserable fantasies about it. If you are interested in the tourism of dog crap,  you should spend some time around some famous streets in the city center of Florence, take a deep breath and enjoy the day, you can take a sweet walk in Pier Antonio Michieli street, for a start. After we did excactly what we are suggesting for, we found a compromise between beauty and brutality, so we have literally skewered the prettiest craps of the city center of Florence with our postcards, in which there are some short texts from Verdi’s Traviata. Those texts are ready for being sung, now you are ready for skewering and singing, as much as you desire.  If you need some postcards, do not hesitate to reach us.

ASCOLTAREONONVEDERE è un progetto di Juliette Mock e Simona Di Giovanni per tutti i frequentatori delle strade del centro storico di Firenze. Avendo scelto una delle materie pittoriche più comuni tra quelle che lo spazio pubblico offre, abbiamo riflettuto sul concetto di cacca, avanzando le più miserabili fantasie sulla cosa in questione. Il turismo del feticismo della cacca di cane si manifesta soprattutto in via Pier Antonio Micheli a Firenze. In strada, abbiamo cercato un compromesso tra la brutalità e la bellezza, infilzando letteralmente le cacche più belle del centro storico con le nostre cartoline, su cui erano riportate alcune brevi frasi prelevate dalla Traviata di Verdi, i testi sono già sillabati per ritmare il canto, per cui il nostro invito, sostanzialmente, si riassume nell’infilzare e cantare. Durante la presentazione del nostro progetto sono stati installati vari gadget per il pubblico tra cui le cartoline, così che tutti possano avere la possibilità di infilzare e cantare, in giro per Firenze.
